Pink Lifetime of Achievements
Pink was born on the eighth of September 1979 in Doylestown Pennsylvania. She is currently twenty-nine years old and one of the hottest musical recording artists in recent years. She was born as Alecia Moore, but she adopted the stage name Pink because that has been her nickname for many years. It came about from an incident in her childhood where somebody pulled down her trousers at a summer camp and she blushed in a bright pink color. She does not like her real name and associates it with somebody being mad at her, because her friends and family only call her Alecia when there are angry with her.
She is best known for the song "Get This Party Started". She became famous in 2000 with her album "Can't Take Me Home", which also gave her one of her first hits in the top ten called "There You Go". Her next album was "Missundaztood" which was responsible for the singles "Get This Party Started" and "Don't Let Me Get Me" which ended up being very big hits. Her music videos became hits as well partly due to her fashion sense which some have labeled as outrageous. Pink has won a Grammy for a remake of the song "Lady Marmalade" that was recorded as a soundtrack for the movie Moulin Rouge in 2001. She did this song with Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim and Mya. In 2003 she recorded the album "Try This", and she recorded the album "I'm Not Dead" in 2006.
On January 7, 2006 she married a motocross racer named Corey Hart. He proposed marriage by writing on the pit board "Will you marry me" when he was in a race in California. Pink is an avid supporter of the group PETA that advocates the fair and ethical treatment of animals, and she is also a vegetarian. She has since separated from her husband Corey Hart, and has a new album out called "funhouse" that she says has a couple of songs on it that directly relate to the breakup.
Pink has also appeared in a few movies. In 2007 she appeared in a horror movie called catacombs, in 2003 she appears in Charlie's Angels Full Throttle and in Rollerball in 2002.
